Jazz Pianist / Educator

I am a Denver-based pianist who has been performing professionally in a large variety of venues since 1968. I am available for private parties, cocktail parties, weddings, luncheons, art exhibits, concerts or club work. I teach jazz piano and music theory privately, and am available for clinics or master classes

As a freelance artist, I am able to work with many top musicians both locally and nationally, so not only do I perform as a soloist, but I can put together duos, trios, and quartets, instrumentally or with vocalist as desired.

My repertoire includes songs from the Great American Songbook, aka “Jazz Standards” which features composers like George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, A.C. Jobim, Richard Rodgers, just to name a few. Concert material can of course be more adventurous, depending on what the situation calls for.

I am an active member of the Denver Musician's Association (DMA). A few of the groups I currently play with are the Denver Jazz Quartet which was a headliner act at the 2003 Queenstown Jazz Festival in New Zealand, PoeJazz (an eclectic blend of piano, bass and poetry), which performed at the 2000 IAJE conference in New Orleans.
